DEPARTMENT PROFILE
Electronics subject was introduced in the academic year 1988 – 89 as a wing of department of Physics. Department of Electronics was bifurcated as an independent department in August 2020.
The department presently offers two courses, PME & MECs. The present student intake for UG course is 60. The department has well equipped laboratory facility. The curriculum & syllabi designed provide a comprehensive foundation of the core subject. To promote student centric learning department timely conducts hands-on training. academic/field visits, workshops on current topics, value added courses, projects, in-house seminars etc.
Department in association with department of Physics has organized 4 National Seminars, 6 workshops, 15 Guest lectures & 7 Extension activities.
Students are encouraged by faculty to participate in National level seminars/conferences, projects & science exhibitions. Our Alumni are placed in prestigious organizations like Infosys, Wipro, L&T, TCS, Cape Gemini etc., also placed in various fields of state and central government.
COURSE COMBINATIONS
- Physics, Mathematics & Electronics (PME)
- Mathematics, Electronics & Computer Science (MECs)
COURSE OUTCOMES
Electronics is one of the branch Science. The course emphasizes on analog and digital electronic circuits. The objective of this course is to provide fundamental theoretical and practical knowledge to undergraduate students to excel in advanced topics of analog and digital electronics.
